Recruiting Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a recruiting manager in Georgia?
Most recruiting managers in Georgia start with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field and build several years of full-cycle recruiting experience before moving into a leadership role. Georgia does not require a state-issued license for this role, but employers strongly favor candidates who hold SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR credentials, which signal professional commitment and foundational HR knowledge recognized across the state's major industries.
How much do recruiting managers make in Georgia?
Recruiting managers in Georgia earn a median of about $150,700 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $89,790 for the lowest 10% to over $271,170 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire recruiting managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring recruiting managers in Georgia right now include Invesco, TriNet, and Cargill, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's density of Fortune 500 headquarters, large health systems, and logistics and technology companies means consistent demand for recruiting managers who can handle high-volume or specialized talent pipelines.
Which Georgia cities have the most recruiting manager jobs?
The cities with the most recruiting manager openings in Georgia are Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Fayetteville. Atlanta dominates because it is home to the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, healthcare networks, and technology employers, while smaller markets like Savannah and Augusta reflect growth in logistics, defense contracting, and regional health systems that each maintain their own in-house talent acquisition teams.
Are there remote recruiting manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, since recruiting manager work is primarily conducted through phone and video interviews, applicant tracking systems, and digital collaboration tools that do not require a physical office. About 56% of recruiting manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted to distributed models. Fully remote roles tend to concentrate in corporate and technology sector talent acquisition, while healthcare and manufacturing recruiting managers are more often required on site.
How can I get hired as a recruiting manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a recruiter or HR coordinator at a Georgia staffing firm or large employer and building a record of managing requisitions from sourcing through offer. Large Georgia employers like Piedmont Healthcare and Delta Air Lines run structured HR development programs that accept candidates from coordinator-level roles, and staffing firms in the Atlanta metro regularly promote high performers into team lead positions within two to three years. Earning a SHRM-CP credential while still in an individual contributor role signals readiness for management and gives candidates a concrete edge when applying internally.
Where can I find and apply to recruiting manager jobs in Georgia?
