Recruiting Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a recruiting manager in Texas?
Texas does not require a state-issued license to work as a recruiting manager, so the path runs through education and experience rather than a licensing board. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in human resources or business, followed by several years in a talent acquisition or HR generalist role. Earning a PHR or SHRM-CP credential signals professional readiness and is increasingly expected for management-level hiring in Texas's competitive corporate markets.
How much do recruiting managers make in Texas?
Recruiting managers in Texas earn a median of about $136,500 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $83,200 for the lowest 10% to over $226,050 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire recruiting managers in Texas?
Employers hiring recruiting managers in Texas right now include KFC, Jobot, and Boston Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major hospital systems, and large defense and energy contractors means demand is spread across industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Texas cities have the most recruiting manager jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Dallas account for the largest share of recruiting manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense cluster of corporate headquarters and regional offices, Houston's volume is driven by energy, healthcare, and logistics employers, and Austin's fast-growing technology and government sectors fuel steady demand there.
Are there remote recruiting manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, because recruiting work is fundamentally phone- and screen-based and translates well to distributed teams. About 8% of recruiting manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have adopted flexible models for this role. Sourcing, screening, and coordination work tends to be the most remote-friendly, while onboarding oversight and in-person interviews often require some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a recruiting manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a recruiting coordinator or HR assistant role first, then building toward management. Large Texas employers like Texas Health Resources, H-E-B, and major staffing firms run structured talent acquisition associate programs that develop people without prior recruiting backgrounds. Earning a SHRM-CP credential while in an entry-level HR role signals upward intent, and internal promotions from coordinator to lead recruiter to manager are common at companies with high-volume hiring operations.
Where can I find and apply to recruiting manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to recruiting manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
