Revenue Accountant Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a revenue accountant in Massachusetts?
Most revenue accountant roles in Massachusetts require a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. While no state license is mandatory to hold the title, earning a CPA through the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy strengthens your candidacy significantly, especially at larger employers in Boston's financial and life sciences sectors. Many candidates enter through staff accountant or general ledger roles before moving into dedicated revenue accounting positions.
How much do revenue accountants make in Massachusetts?
Revenue accountants in Massachusetts earn a median of about $99,460 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $70,460 for the lowest 10% to over $160,100 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire revenue accountants in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring revenue accountants in Massachusetts right now include UKG, Mimecast, and Hopper, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Yes, and more than most accounting specialties. About 70% of revenue accountant openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, analytical nature of the role.
