Sales Intern Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales intern in Missouri?
Most sales intern roles in Missouri require current enrollment in a bachelor's program in business, marketing, communications, or a related field at a Missouri university such as Mizzou, Saint Louis University, or Missouri State. No state-issued sales license is required for internships in most industries, though roles in financial services may require candidates to be on track to sit for FINRA Series exams. Employers prioritize candidates who have completed at least one semester of coursework and can commit to a structured internship schedule.
Which companies hire sales interns in Missouri?
Companies currently hiring sales interns in Missouri include Buckle, Hussmann, and EY, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's concentration of financial services headquarters, health IT firms, and industrial manufacturers means sales intern pipelines here tend to feed directly into full-time associate roles.
Which Missouri cities have the most sales intern jobs?
St. Louis, Columbia, and Bridgeton account for the largest share of sales intern openings in Missouri. Kansas City and St. Louis drive the bulk of postings due to their dense clusters of corporate headquarters in financial services, healthcare technology, and logistics, while Columbia benefits from proximity to the University of Missouri and the regional offices that recruit directly from its business school.
Are there remote sales intern jobs in Missouri?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical roles because most sales internships involve in-person shadowing, client calls, and team coaching. About 75% of sales intern openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the remote share skewing toward inside sales and SaaS-focused roles where the entire sales motion happens over video and phone rather than in the field.
How can I get hired as a sales intern in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured internship programs at Missouri-headquartered employers like Edward Jones, which runs a well-known financial advisor development track, or to the sales development associate programs at Oracle Health and Emerson in St. Louis. Campus recruiting events at Mizzou, Missouri State, and UMKC connect applicants to hiring managers before positions are posted publicly. Candidates with no prior sales experience gain an edge by completing a relevant coursework project, earning a HubSpot Sales certification, or having held any customer-facing role such as retail associate or campus ambassador.
Where can I find and apply to sales intern jobs in Missouri?
