Sales Trainee Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales trainee in Colorado?
Most sales trainee roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree, though some employers accept an associate degree combined with demonstrated sales experience or coursework. Colorado does not require a general sales license for most industries, but trainees moving into insurance sales must obtain a Colorado Property and Casualty or Life and Health license through the Colorado Division of Insurance before soliciting clients. Financial services trainees may also need FINRA Series 6 or 63 registration depending on the products they sell.
Which companies hire sales trainees in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring sales trainees in Colorado include Graybar, True North, and CarMax, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of financial services firms, insurance carriers, and technology companies headquartered along the Front Range means consistent trainee openings across multiple industries throughout the year.
Which Colorado cities have the most sales trainee jobs?
Denver, Pueblo, and Thornton have the most sales trainee openings in Colorado. Denver's role as a regional headquarters hub for financial services, insurance, and technology companies drives the bulk of listings, while Colorado Springs supports strong demand in defense contracting and insurance, and Boulder's startup and outdoor industry ecosystem generates consistent openings in B2B and retail sales.
Are there remote sales trainee jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical roles since most trainee programs emphasize in-person coaching, shadowing, and client interaction during the learning phase. About 20% of sales trainee openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote options more frequently found in inside sales and SaaS roles rather than field sales or insurance positions that require face-to-face client contact.
How can I get hired as a sales trainee in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured trainee or associate programs that Colorado employers run specifically for candidates without prior sales experience. Charles Schwab, Farmers Insurance, and DISH Network each hire for rotational or development programs where training is built in. Customer service, retail, and account coordinator roles at these same organizations frequently serve as lateral moves into sales. Earning a Colorado insurance producer license before applying gives candidates a measurable edge even before their first day on the job.
Where can I find and apply to sales trainee jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to sales trainee jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and experience level, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
