No state-issued license is required for this role in Colorado. Employers in Denver's technology and aerospace corridors typically prioritize candidates with documented experience managing enterprise accounts, a working knowledge of the relevant industry vertical, and strong relationship management credentials such as a Certified Strategic Account Manager designation.
How much do strategic account managers make in Colorado?
Strategic account managers in Colorado earn a median of about $79,810 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $44,530 for the lowest 10% to over $164,840 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.

Colorado strategic account manager roles are posted by GENETEC, Vertafore, and Axon and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of technology firms, defense contractors, and healthcare organizations along the Front Range means openings appear consistently throughout the year across a range of industries and account sizes.
Which Colorado cities have the most strategic account manager jobs?
Denver, Colorado, and Centennial account for the largest share of strategic account manager openings in Colorado. Denver drives the majority of demand as the state's primary commercial hub, anchored by its technology, financial services, and healthcare sectors, while Colorado Springs attracts openings tied to defense and government contracting, and Boulder's startup and software ecosystem generates consistent enterprise account management roles.
