LOCATION: This is a hybrid position. The preferred candidate should be based in (or within a location commutable to) New York, NY, working in hours that align with the Eastern Time Zone.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Marketing Strategist, you'll play a critical role in providing strategic direction and growth marketing support for our top-tier clients. Reporting into the Marketing Services team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing cross-channel marketing strategies across email, web, push, social, and SMS, with a primary focus on lifecycle and retention programs. You will help translate complex client objectives into measurable, high-impact marketing programs that drive growth and long-term engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Ideation
Work directly with clients to provide strategic planning, ideation, and optimization of new cross-channel (email, web, push, social, SMS, etc.) campaign programs, personalization initiatives, and overall marketing calendar planning, primarily for lifecycle and retention programs.
Write briefs and approve all created assets.
Ensure all recommendations have a clear and concise methodology, are appropriately sized to maximize impact and ease of execution, and instill confidence in the results.
Analytics & Optimization
Provide ongoing analytics and optimization support, creating dashboards and reports that show metrics and solutions for continued growth or strategic pivots.
Continually track and develop a clear record of incremental revenue sourced from owned initiatives.
Client Relationship Management
Develop strong relationships and rapport with clients, instilling confidence in agency work and fostering advocacy and referrals.
Sales & Growth Support
Participate in sales pitches and scoping conversations as a multi-channel growth subject matter expert.
Help identify the appropriate level of effort required to support new projects, extensions, renewals, and expanded scopes.
REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience providing lifecycle or retention marketing strategy (direct agency experience preferred).
Extensive knowledge of email, SMS, and push channels, as well as top-of-funnel marketing.
Solid track record of growth marketing successes, with hands-on platform experience in automation tools such as Iterable, Braze, Segment, Klaviyo, or Customer.io.
Direct experience leveraging data for complex personalization marketing programs.
Direct experience providing marketing campaign and program analysis using BI tools (Looker, Tableau) or analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
Hands-on approach that delivers sharp strategic insights for clients.
Strong technical edge with current knowledge of consumer behavior trends, cross-channel marketing, and digital growth strategies.

Superior written and communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize information from emails and documents into actionable tasks.
