Senior Solution Architect Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior solution architect in Georgia?
Senior solution architect is not a state-licensed role in Georgia, so there is no board exam or registration requirement. The standard path combines a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering with progressive experience in software development or infrastructure, followed by architecture-level roles. Georgia employers, particularly those in Atlanta's technology corridor, typically expect candidates to hold a recognized architecture certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or TOGAF before competing for senior-level positions.
How much do senior solution architects make in Georgia?
Senior solution architects in Georgia earn a median of about $133,890 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,710 for the lowest 10% to over $179,040 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior solution architects in Georgia?
Employers hiring senior solution architects in Georgia right now include Capgemini, PwC, and 4P Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large technology services firms in the Atlanta metro makes it one of the more active states for senior-level architecture hiring in the Southeast.
Which Georgia cities have the most senior solution architect jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia account for the most senior solution architect openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the clear majority of postings given its density of technology firms, financial institutions, and corporate headquarters, while smaller metro areas like Savannah and Augusta contribute openings tied to healthcare systems, logistics operations, and government contracting employers based there.
Are there remote senior solution architect jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. Solution architecture is primarily a planning and advisory role that translates well to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 70% of senior solution architect openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based and collaborative nature of the work. The portions most likely to remain on-site are stakeholder workshops, data center assessments, and client-facing discovery sessions tied to Georgia-based accounts.
How can I get hired as a senior solution architect in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into an associate or junior architect role from a software developer, systems engineer, or cloud engineer position, which Georgia employers regularly treat as the immediate feeder track. Large Atlanta-based technology employers and consultancies that serve the Georgia market often post entry-level cloud or integration engineer roles designed for candidates building toward architecture. Earning an AWS or Azure associate-level certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge, and contributing to internal platform projects or pursuing a formal mentorship program within a Georgia technology organization helps close the experience gap faster than formal education alone.
Where can I find and apply to senior solution architect jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to senior solution architect jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and target location within Georgia, and apply directly to each.
