Service Delivery Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a service delivery manager in Tennessee?
Most service delivery manager roles in Tennessee require a bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or a related field, combined with progressive experience in IT operations or account management. Tennessee does not issue a state license for this role, but employers across Nashville's healthcare IT sector and Memphis's logistics industry strongly favor candidates who hold an ITIL certification. Starting in service desk, IT coordinator, or operations analyst roles at a large Tennessee employer is the most direct path to moving into delivery management.
How much do service delivery managers make in Tennessee?
Service delivery managers in Tennessee earn a median of about $158,700 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $98,380 for the lowest 10% to over $237,640 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire service delivery managers in Tennessee?
Employers hiring service delivery managers in Tennessee right now include Amazon, Orica, and Acertus, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of large healthcare systems, managed service providers, and distribution companies means demand for delivery management talent stays consistent throughout the year.
Which Tennessee cities have the most service delivery manager jobs?
Franklin, Nashville, and Jackson have the most service delivery manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville drives the highest volume because of its dense concentration of healthcare IT firms and corporate headquarters, while Memphis adds significant demand through FedEx's global logistics operations and the regional healthcare network anchored there, and Knoxville contributes openings tied to its growing technology and energy sectors.
Are there remote service delivery manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields, because service delivery management is fundamentally a communication and coordination role that translates well to remote settings. About 60% of service delivery manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely Tennessee employers have adopted flexible arrangements since the shift in enterprise IT work culture. Client-facing account oversight and reporting work are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a service delivery manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an IT service desk analyst or operations coordinator role at one of Nashville's large healthcare IT employers or a Memphis-based managed service provider, then building toward delivery management from within. Employers such as HCA Healthcare and regional MSPs regularly hire for associate-level IT operations roles that expose candidates to SLA tracking and client communication. Earning an ITIL Foundation certification before applying gives candidates with no management experience a concrete credential that directly signals readiness for service delivery work.
Where can I find and apply to service delivery manager jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to service delivery manager jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings across Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and smaller markets. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employers posting them.
