Solutions Analyst Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions analyst in Washington?
Most solutions analyst roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Washington does not issue a state license specifically for solutions analysts, so hiring is credential-driven: certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Salesforce credentials carry real weight with Washington employers. Entry-level candidates typically move into the role from business analyst or IT support positions at Washington's large technology and aerospace employers.
How much do solutions analysts make in Washington?
Solutions analysts in Washington earn a median of about $129,410 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $74,470 for the lowest 10% to over $197,600 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire solutions analysts in Washington?
Employers hiring solutions analysts in Washington right now include Funko, Vertex, and Trupanion, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters, major aerospace operations, and large regional healthcare systems means demand stays consistent across both established enterprise employers and mid-size software companies based in the greater Seattle metro.
Which Washington cities have the most solutions analyst jobs?
Seattle, Washington State, and Everett have the most solutions analyst openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue generate the bulk of postings through their dense clusters of technology companies and financial services firms, while Redmond draws significant volume from Microsoft's campus operations and the network of vendor and consulting firms that support it.
Are there remote solutions analyst jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields, because solutions analyst work is primarily desk-based, document-driven, and conducted over collaboration tools. About 67% of solutions analyst openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the role's strong fit with distributed work. Requirements gathering, system documentation, and stakeholder presentations are the parts of the role most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a solutions analyst in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a junior business analyst or IT support role at one of Washington's large technology employers, healthcare systems like Providence or UW Medicine, or aerospace companies like Boeing, which run structured analyst development programs for recent graduates. Building proficiency with Microsoft Azure or Salesforce and earning an entry-level certification gives candidates a concrete edge. A portfolio documenting a real requirements-gathering or process improvement project, even from coursework, is valued in Washington interviews.
Where can I find and apply to solutions analyst jobs in Washington?
