Sourcing Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sourcing in Colorado?
Colorado does not require a state-issued license to work in sourcing or procurement. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field, combined with practical experience in purchasing or vendor management. Professional credentials such as the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) strengthen candidacy and are widely recognized by Colorado employers in aerospace, manufacturing, and technology.
Which companies hire sourcings in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring sourcings in Colorado include DaVita, CRUSOE, and Frontier Airlines, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's concentration of aerospace, defense, and technology firms along the Front Range creates consistent demand for sourcing professionals with both direct and indirect procurement experience.
Which Colorado cities have the most sourcing jobs?
Denver, Fort Collins, and Englewood account for the largest share of sourcing openings in Colorado. Denver's size and its role as the regional headquarters for many national and multinational firms drives the bulk of postings, while Colorado Springs benefits from a dense cluster of defense contractors, and Boulder attracts sourcing roles tied to technology and clean energy companies headquartered there.
Are there remote sourcing jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of sourcing openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves vendor communications, data analysis, and contract management that can be done outside a plant or office. Roles focused on supplier relationship management and indirect spend categories tend to offer the most flexibility, while positions requiring on-site supplier audits or close coordination with production teams are more likely to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sourcing in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a purchasing assistant, procurement coordinator, or supply chain analyst role, which large Colorado employers like Lockheed Martin Space, Ball Aerospace, and Arrow Electronics use to develop sourcing professionals from the ground up. Internship and rotational supply chain programs at these firms and at Colorado's manufacturing companies provide structured exposure to sourcing functions. Earning an entry-level credential like the Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) or completing a supply chain certificate through a Colorado community college adds measurable credibility for candidates without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to sourcing jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to sourcing jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state. Search the listings by location or specialty, identify the roles that fit your background and experience level, and apply directly through each posting without any additional steps.
