Strategy Intern Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy intern in Colorado?
Most strategy intern roles in Colorado require current enrollment in a bachelor's or MBA program, with concentrations in business, economics, or a related field preferred. Colorado does not issue a state license for strategy roles, so employers focus on academic standing, analytical coursework, and project experience. Candidates who have completed finance, operations, or consulting coursework at Colorado universities and can show applied work, such as case competitions or research projects, are most competitive.
Which companies hire strategy interns in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring strategy interns in Colorado include Xcel Energy, Spectrum, and Grant Thornton, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of defense contractors, large health systems, and technology firms creates a steady pipeline of strategy intern openings across the Denver metro and Front Range corridor.
Which Colorado cities have the most strategy intern jobs?
Denver, Lakewood, and Henderson have the most strategy intern openings in Colorado. Denver dominates because it is home to major corporate headquarters, regional offices, and a growing consulting presence, while Boulder's technology and startup ecosystem and Colorado Springs' defense and aerospace concentration drive openings in those markets.
Are there remote strategy intern jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of strategy intern openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of the work. Research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling tasks are the most commonly performed remotely, though strategy interns at defense and healthcare employers are more likely to be required on-site.
How can I get hired as a strategy intern in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying through formal summer internship programs at large Colorado employers like DaVita, Lockheed Martin, or UCHealth, which recruit undergraduate and MBA students with no prior corporate strategy experience. Case competition participation, university consulting clubs, and analytical coursework at Colorado institutions such as CU Boulder Leeds School of Business or Daniels College of Business at DU signal readiness. Lateral moves from finance, operations, or market research roles are also common entry points into strategy intern positions.
Where can I find and apply to strategy intern jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to strategy intern jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
