Strategy Manager Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy manager in Wisconsin?
A bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field is the standard entry point, and most Wisconsin employers expect it as a baseline. There is no state-issued license or board registration required to work as a strategy manager in Wisconsin. Candidates who advance quickly typically hold an MBA from a Wisconsin institution such as UW-Madison or Marquette University, or have completed a formal rotational or leadership development program at a large Wisconsin employer before moving into a dedicated strategy role.
Which companies hire strategy managers in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin strategy manager roles are posted by ATI, FTI, and Forj and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Wisconsin's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large regional insurers, and integrated health systems means demand is distributed across multiple industries rather than dominated by a single sector.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most strategy manager jobs?
Milwaukee, Madison, and Menasha account for the largest share of strategy manager openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee leads because of its density of corporate headquarters in retail, insurance, and financial services, while Madison's concentration of health tech firms, state government agencies, and university-affiliated research organizations drives strong demand there, and Green Bay's manufacturing and food industry anchors support additional openings.
Are there remote strategy manager jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategy manager work is largely analytical and presentation-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 60% of strategy manager openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly companies have embraced flexible models for this role. The work most commonly done remotely includes financial modeling, competitive research, and deck preparation, while stakeholder alignment sessions often remain in-person.
How can I get hired as a strategy manager in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a rotational leadership development program at a large Wisconsin employer, which lets candidates build cross-functional exposure before stepping into a dedicated strategy role. Companies like American Family Insurance, Northwestern Mutual, and Advocate Aurora Health run formal programs that recruit recent graduates into planning or analyst tracks. Lateral moves from financial analyst, market research, or business operations roles are also common. A completed MBA from UW-Madison or Marquette, or a demonstrated portfolio of strategic projects from a prior role, gives candidates a clear edge in Wisconsin hiring processes.
Where can I find and apply to strategy manager jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to strategy manager jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current Wisconsin openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings for roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit.
