Strategy Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy manager in Washington?
Most strategy manager roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, though a significant share of postings in Seattle and Bellevue prefer or require an MBA. Washington has no state-issued license for strategy managers. Candidates typically progress through analyst or associate roles at technology firms, consulting practices, or large healthcare systems before moving into a dedicated strategy manager position.
Which companies hire strategy managers in Washington?
Employers hiring strategy managers in Washington right now include Amazon, TikTok, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters, aerospace primes, and large regional health systems means strategy manager demand is distributed across multiple industries rather than a single sector.
Which Washington cities have the most strategy manager jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond have the most strategy manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue account for the bulk of postings because Microsoft, Amazon, and a dense cluster of mid-size technology and consulting firms are headquartered or have major offices there, while Redmond's concentration of product and corporate strategy teams at large technology companies drives a meaningful share of the remaining demand.
Are there remote strategy manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 47% of strategy manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based, analytical, and collaborative nature of the role. Strategy work focused on financial modeling, market analysis, and executive presentation tends to transfer well to remote settings, while roles requiring frequent stakeholder facilitation or integration work across a physical campus are more likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a strategy manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an analyst or associate role at a Washington technology company, management consulting practice, or large healthcare system, then building toward a strategy manager title from within. Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing each run structured rotational or associate programs that place early-career candidates on strategy teams. A lateral move from financial analysis, product operations, or business development into a strategy-adjacent role is a common bridge, and completing an MBA at a Washington institution strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Where can I find and apply to strategy manager jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to strategy manager jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and preferences, and apply directly to the ones that match.
