Supply Chain Specialist Jobs in New Hampshire

This position reports to the Global Logistic Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for purchasing, production planning, and MRP functions. This includes negotiating prices with vendors with a purchasing authority level of $10,000, placing orders, planning all material requirements, expediting deliveries, and implementation and maintenance of all MRP functions.

Core Responsibilities

• Works with engineering and assembly departments to create accurate item master’s and indented bill of material structures for all products.
• Processes and dispositions ECNs in a timely manner.
• Accurately enters and maintains all item master, bill of material, purchasing and cost data for NTS products into the MRP system.
• Establishes lead time analysis of all major subsystems by working with assembly and engineering personnel. Uses this data to plan timely component purchases, which minimize inventory and maximize utilization of available assembly labor.
• Assumes responsibility for scheduling, ordering, and expediting components to meet project deadlines. Works with key vendors to reduce cost and lead time. Orders expense/floor stock items.
• Actively participates in year-end inventory audits.
• Identifies and provides feedback to the Supply Chain Manager regarding problems that jeopardize implementation of the master schedule.
• Analyzes and regularly reports on project cost and inventory levels. Works with supervisor in monitoring inventory to keep inventory costs to an absolute minimum, without jeopardizing timely delivery to Nanotech’s customers.
• Negotiates contracts with vendors as required including non-inventory related purchases (e.g. telephone, electricity, shipping, etc.)
• Helps to achieve the completion of all projects within budget and on schedule.
• Participates in the further development and refinement of business unit operating procedures.
• Contributes to meeting the overall revenue and profit goals established by the business unit budget and strategic plan.
• Acts as liaison with existing and potential vendors to help determine their capabilities and the relevance of their products to our specific needs.
• Interfaces with managers, engineers, and technicians of the other business units to help coordinate.
• Engages in purchasing and planning activities wherever appropriate and necessary.
• Establishes and maintains a positive and professional working relationship with all key vendors and departments within the company.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed.
• Complies with safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years planning/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Visual ERP/MRP system.
• Computer literate with full working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• APICS certification a plus.
