Details
- Inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
- Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
- Cares for cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
- Performs or supports vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
- Floating required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in field required, though candidates with 1+ years of recent unit experience will be considered
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
