Training Program Manager Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a training program manager in Louisiana?
Most training program manager roles in Louisiana require at least a bachelor's degree in human resources, education, or a related field, with several years of experience in training delivery or instructional design. Louisiana does not issue a state-specific license for this role, but earning a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential from the Association for Talent Development strengthens candidacy considerably. Large Louisiana employers in healthcare and energy often prefer candidates who also have experience with compliance-based training specific to their industry.
How much do training program managers make in Louisiana?
Training program managers in Louisiana earn a median of about $107,670 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,300 for the lowest 10% to over $162,650 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire training program managers in Louisiana?
Employers hiring training program managers in Louisiana right now include Sonic Drive-In, Domino's, and Entergy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's concentration of large healthcare systems, petrochemical operators, and state agencies means steady, recurring demand for training professionals who can manage compliance and onboarding programs at scale.
Which Louisiana cities have the most training program manager jobs?
Baton Rouge, Houma, and Shreveport have the most training program manager openings in Louisiana. Baton Rouge leads due to its density of state government agencies, petrochemical employers, and university systems, while New Orleans draws demand from its large healthcare networks and hospitality corporations, and Shreveport's openings are driven by its regional medical centers and manufacturing base.
Are there remote training program manager jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than many operational roles, because much of the work involving curriculum development, e-learning design, and LMS administration can be done without being on-site. About 8% of training program manager openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the role's mixed nature. Fully remote positions tend to cover instructional design and virtual facilitation, while hybrid schedules are common when in-person delivery or new-hire onboarding is part of the job.
How can I get hired as a training program manager in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the role from an adjacent position such as training coordinator, HR generalist, or subject-matter expert who has informally facilitated sessions. Large Louisiana employers including Ochsner Health and state agencies frequently post training coordinator and workforce development specialist roles that serve as a direct stepping stone. Building a portfolio of sample curricula or e-learning modules and pursuing the Association for Talent Development's entry-level credentials gives candidates a measurable edge over others without formal training titles on their resume.
Where can I find and apply to training program manager jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to training program manager jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Louisiana openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your background, industry preference, and preferred location or work arrangement, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
