What we do
Adaptive is a vertical AI company of 50, building the agentic operating system for the $2 trillion U.S. construction industry. We work with over 1,000 customers, partner with over 50 accounting firms, and have raised $26m from Emergence, a16z, and other top funds.
Why join us?
Win a massive category that's up for grabs. Construction is among the least digitized industries left, and no AI king has been crowned. With our momentum, team, and backing, we are in position to be that company.
Build a moat that compounds. We orchestrate multi-stakeholder workflows across an industry that today runs on paper, email, and phone calls. Every process we manage generates data no one else has. That data makes each new use case easier to expand to, while building a compounding moat.
Work with the rare team that can pull this off. Winning here takes deep construction knowledge and deep AI fluency in the same room. That intersection is rare, and we have it with backgrounds across finance, technology, and construction.
Serve the people building the world around you. Your favorite local café. The new house on the corner. The massive new skyscraper at Central Park South. All built by our customers: skilled, creative people who have spent their lives bringing neighborhoods to life.

UX Designer Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ux designer in New York?
There is no state license required to work as a ux designer in New York, so the path runs through education and portfolio development. Most New York employers expect a bachelor's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, graphic design, or a related field, though strong bootcamp graduates with compelling portfolios do get hired. Building projects that show end-to-end product thinking, from research through final UI, is what gets candidates through the door at New York companies.
Which companies hire ux designers in New York?
Employers hiring ux designers in New York right now include Amazon, Robinhood, and Collabera, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's density of fintech, media, and enterprise tech companies means design teams here tend to work on complex, high-scale products with significant research and systems components.
Which New York cities have the most ux designer jobs?
New York, New York City, and New York have the most ux designer openings in New York. Manhattan dominates because it is home to the largest concentration of tech, finance, and media employers in the state, while Brooklyn and Long Island City have grown into significant design hubs as companies expand offices outside of Midtown and firms like Google and others have anchored major campuses there.
Are there remote ux designer jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 40% of ux designer openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting that the core deliverables, wireframes, prototypes, and research synthesis, transfer well to distributed work. The parts of the role most likely to stay fully remote are discovery research, design systems maintenance, and content strategy, while roles requiring frequent stakeholder workshops or embedded product team collaboration tend toward hybrid.
How can I get hired as a ux designer in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate or junior product designer role, which large New York employers in fintech and media regularly post for candidates with a portfolio but no full-time experience. Companies like Spotify, Verizon, and major banks run structured new-grad programs and internship-to-hire pipelines. Adjacent roles like UX researcher assistant, UI coordinator, or content designer are common lateral entry points. A portfolio with at least two or three case studies showing real problem-solving, even from class or self-directed projects, is what separates candidates who get interviews from those who do not.
Where can I find and apply to ux designer jobs in New York?
