Most vice president sales roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though many employers in Seattle's technology corridor also consider candidates with equivalent demonstrated sales leadership experience. The path typically runs through senior individual contributor roles into sales management, then director-level positions before VP consideration. Washington has no state-issued license specific to sales leadership, so advancement depends on a record of growing revenue and building teams at named employers in high-growth sectors.
How much do vice president saleses make in Washington?
Vice president saleses in Washington earn a median of about $174,000 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,000 for the lowest 10% to over $291,620 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire vice president saless in Washington?
Employers hiring vice president saless in Washington right now include JPMorganChase, Goldman Sachs, and WSP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters, aerospace primes, and enterprise software companies makes it one of the most consistent states for senior sales leadership openings outside of California and New York.
Which Washington cities have the most vice president sales jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma account for the most vice president sales openings in Washington. Seattle drives the largest share because of its density of technology headquarters and enterprise software companies, while Bellevue and Redmond host major campus operations for firms like Microsoft that generate steady senior sales leadership demand, and Tacoma and Spokane add openings tied to defense contractors, healthcare systems, and regional distributors.
Are there remote vice president sales jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 64% of vice president sales openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the widespread adoption of distributed sales leadership models across the state's technology and software sectors. Strategic planning, pipeline reviews, and cross-functional alignment work are most commonly performed remotely, while enterprise sales cycles and key account meetings typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a vice president sales in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a record as a high-performing account executive or sales manager at a Washington-based technology, SaaS, or enterprise software company, then moving into a director role before targeting VP openings. Large Washington employers including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Salesforce's Seattle-area offices run structured sales development and leadership rotation programs that develop managers from within. A strong portfolio showing year-over-year quota attainment, team hiring, and pipeline growth carries more weight than a specific credential in this field.
Where can I find and apply to vice president sales jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to vice president sales jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings across technology, aerospace, healthcare, and enterprise sales.
