Which transportation companies sponsor E-3 visas in Florida?
Florida-based transportation employers that have filed E-3 visa Labor Condition Applications include American Airlines and LATAM Airlines at Miami International Airport, Carnival Corporation and Norwegian Cruise Line in Miami's cruise industry, and logistics operators tied to PortMiami and Port Everglades. Jacksonville's growing freight and distribution sector has also seen E-3 filings from supply chain and transportation planning firms. Sponsorship practices vary by company and role, so confirming with each employer directly is advisable.
Which cities in Florida have the most transportation E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Miami generates the highest concentration of transportation E-3 opportunities, driven by its international airport, two major seaports, and headquarters for several airlines and cruise lines. Jacksonville follows, with significant freight rail, port logistics, and distribution activity. Orlando supports aviation and ground transportation roles tied to its airport and tourism infrastructure. Tampa's port and intermodal freight operations also produce periodic E-3 sponsorship openings for qualified professionals.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Florida?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field must be a normal requirement for the role. In Florida's transportation sector, qualifying positions commonly include logistics analysts, supply chain engineers, aviation operations managers, transportation planners, and port operations analysts. General labor, driving, or operational support roles that do not require a specific degree typically do not qualify for E-3 classification.
How do I find transportation E-3 sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface transportation roles in Florida where employers have a documented history of E-3 sponsorship. Because E-3 sponsorship depends heavily on individual employer willingness and role classification, filtering for verified sponsoring employers, as Migrate Mate enables, saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering sponsorship limitations later in the process.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for transportation E-3 sponsorship?
Florida's transportation sector is heavily tied to international trade through PortMiami and Port Everglades, and to aviation through Miami International and Orlando International airports. These industries employ a disproportionately international workforce, which can make employers more experienced with visa sponsorship processes including E-3. However, Florida has no state-level immigration programs, so all E-3 requirements, including the Labor Condition Application and specialty occupation determination, are governed entirely by federal standards.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 transportation jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
