Which artificial intelligence companies in Florida sponsor Green Card visas?
Several large and mid-size employers in Florida have active Green Card sponsorship history for AI roles. Defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin and L3Harris, financial technology firms in Miami's fintech corridor, healthcare AI companies in Tampa, and enterprise software companies headquartered in Orlando have all filed PERM labor certifications for machine learning and data science positions. Sponsorship activity is concentrated among companies with dedicated immigration programs.
Which cities in Florida have the most artificial intelligence Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for AI Green Card sponsorship activity, driven by its fintech and startup ecosystem. Orlando follows closely, with a concentration of defense technology, simulation, and enterprise software employers. Tampa's growing healthcare technology sector adds meaningful AI sponsorship volume. Jacksonville and Gainesville have smaller but active AI hiring markets, particularly around logistics technology and university-affiliated research organizations.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Florida?
Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field are the most common candidates for PERM-based Green Card sponsorship. Machine learning engineers, data scientists, computer vision specialists, natural language processing researchers, and AI software engineers are frequently sponsored. Florida employers in defense, healthcare technology, and financial services tend to sponsor these roles at the senior and staff level, where specialized expertise is difficult to source domestically.
How do I find artificial intelligence Green Card sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate surfaces Florida AI jobs where employers have verified Green Card sponsorship history, filtering by DOL labor certification data so you can focus on companies that have filed PERM applications for artificial intelligence roles. Search by Florida city or metro area and filter for permanent residency sponsorship to narrow results. This is more reliable than general job boards, which rarely distinguish between visa types or confirm actual sponsorship intent.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Florida's AI industry?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks relative to DOL prevailing wage requirements under PERM. AI employers in Florida's defense corridor must often satisfy additional compliance requirements, including security clearance eligibility, which can complicate or delay Green Card sponsorship timelines for some foreign nationals. Florida's high concentration of international talent also means PERM audits are not uncommon, so documentation quality matters.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card artificial intelligence jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
