Search Consulting Jobs in GeorgiaConsulting H-1B Sponsorship Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
Which consulting companies sponsor H-1B visas in Georgia?
Large consulting and IT services firms with established Georgia operations are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors in the state. Accenture, Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, and Tata Consultancy Services have all filed H-1B petitions for Georgia-based roles in recent years. Mid-size management consulting firms and technology consulting boutiques in Atlanta also sponsor, though less frequently and often for highly specialized positions.
Which cities in Georgia have the most consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of consulting H-1B sponsorship activity in Georgia. The metro area, including Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Buckhead, hosts regional headquarters and delivery centers for major consulting firms. Alpharetta in particular has become a hub for IT consulting and technology services companies. Outside metro Atlanta, H-1B consulting opportunities are limited.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field are eligible under the H-1B specialty occupation standard. In consulting, this includes management consultants, IT consultants, business analysts, ERP implementation specialists, cybersecurity consultants, data analytics consultants, and strategy consultants. Generalist roles where any degree field is acceptable are harder to qualify, while technically specialized positions tied to a specific degree discipline are more straightforward.
How do I find consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface consulting H-1B sponsorship roles in Georgia without sifting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. The platform aggregates positions from firms that have an active H-1B sponsorship history, which is particularly useful in consulting where sponsorship willingness varies significantly between employers.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for H-1B consulting roles?
Georgia does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B employment, but consulting roles often involve client site work across multiple locations. If your position requires working at client sites outside Georgia, your employer may need to file amended H-1B petitions or ensure the Labor Condition Application covers all worksites. This is a common compliance issue in consulting that is worth confirming with your employer before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B consulting jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
