Tips for Finding H-1B Sponsorship Jobs in Georgia
Target Atlanta's Fortune 500 Employers
Georgia is home to more Fortune 500 companies than most U.S. states, including Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, and UPS. Large corporations file H-1B petitions regularly, making them more reliable sponsorship targets than smaller regional firms.
Look Beyond Atlanta to Alpharetta and Dunwoody
Alpharetta's 'Technology City of the South' corridor hosts hundreds of tech companies that file H-1B petitions annually. Searching these suburbs specifically, including on Migrate Mate, surfaces sponsorship opportunities that Atlanta-only searches miss.
Check DOL LCA Disclosure Data for Georgia Employers
The Department of Labor publishes certified Labor Condition Application data quarterly. Filtering by Georgia shows exactly which employers have sponsored H-1B workers recently, giving you a verified list of active sponsors to target in your search.
Focus on Georgia's Healthcare and Hospital Systems
Emory Healthcare, Piedmont Health, and WellStar Health System are among Georgia's largest H-1B sponsors, particularly for physicians, nurses with advanced degrees, and healthcare IT roles. Hospital systems sponsor consistently regardless of broader tech hiring cycles.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter for Verified H-1B Sponsors
When searching for H-1B sponsorship jobs in Georgia, Migrate Mate filters listings to employers who have sponsored the visa before. This saves time you'd otherwise spend researching whether a company is willing to sponsor.
Prioritize Georgia's Financial Services and Fintech Sector
Atlanta is one of the top three fintech hubs in the United States. Companies like NCR Voyix, Global Payments, and Fiserv regularly sponsor H-1B visas for software engineers, data analysts, and financial technology professionals.

Which industries in Georgia sponsor the most H-1B visas?
Technology, healthcare, and financial services account for the largest share of H-1B visa sponsorships in Georgia. Atlanta's fintech corridor, anchored by companies like Global Payments and NCR Voyix, drives significant volume. Hospital systems such as Emory Healthcare and WellStar are also consistent H-1B sponsors, alongside consulting firms and logistics companies headquartered in the metro area.
Which cities in Georgia have the most H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta has the highest concentration of H-1B sponsoring employers in Georgia, particularly in Midtown and Buckhead. Alpharetta is a strong secondary market with a dense cluster of technology companies. Dunwoody, Peachtree City, and Augusta also have notable employer presence, though the vast majority of H-1B petition volume originates from the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Georgia?
H-1B sponsorship in Georgia is most common in software engineering, data science, financial analysis, healthcare, civil and mechanical engineering, and management consulting. These roles typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the position. Roles in Georgia's logistics, supply chain technology, and cybersecurity sectors are also seeing growing H-1B petition activity.
How do I find H-1B sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, filtering job listings in Georgia to employers with a verified H-1B sponsorship history, so you're not applying to companies that won't sponsor. You can also review DOL LCA disclosure data to identify Georgia-based employers who have filed H-1B petitions recently, then target those companies directly through their careers pages or professional networks.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
