Which hospitality companies in Georgia sponsor H-1B visas?
Atlanta-based operations of large hotel brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG have historically filed H-1B petitions for hospitality roles. Convention center operators, large resort properties in coastal Georgia, and hospitality management companies with corporate offices in Atlanta are also among employers with documented sponsorship activity. Sponsorship decisions are made at the individual employer level and are not guaranteed by brand affiliation alone.
Which cities in Georgia have the most hospitality H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of hospitality H-1B sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by its status as a major convention destination, its dense concentration of hotel headquarters and regional offices, and the volume of international business travel through Hartsfield-Jackson. Savannah sees some sponsorship activity tied to its tourism and resort properties, but Atlanta is by far the primary market for sponsored hospitality roles in the state.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Georgia?
H-1B sponsorship in hospitality is generally limited to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In Georgia, this most commonly includes roles such as revenue management analysts, hotel finance managers, food and beverage directors with specialized culinary or business degrees, event operations managers, and hospitality technology positions. Front-of-house and general service roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B eligibility.
How do I find hospitality H-1B sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for H-1B sponsored hospitality roles in Georgia directly without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates employer-confirmed sponsorship data, which is particularly useful in hospitality where sponsorship willingness varies significantly by property size, ownership structure, and corporate versus franchise status.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in hospitality?
Georgia's hospitality sector is heavily convention-driven, meaning hiring cycles often align with Atlanta's major events calendar and hotel occupancy patterns rather than standard corporate hiring timelines. Many Georgia hotel properties operate under franchise agreements, which means sponsorship decisions rest with the franchisee owner rather than the brand itself. Verifying whether a specific property is corporately managed or franchised is an important step before pursuing a sponsorship-dependent application.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B hospitality jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
