Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor H-1B visas in Georgia?
Georgia-based distribution and wholesale employers with H-1B visa sponsorship history include HD Supply, McKesson, Genuine Parts Company, NCR, and Manhattan Associates, which provides supply chain software to the sector. Large third-party logistics operators and wholesale distributors headquartered in the Atlanta metro area also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data. Sponsorship patterns vary by role and business need, so researching individual employers is advisable.
Which cities in Georgia have the most distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta concentrates the majority of Georgia's distribution and wholesale H-1B activity, given its density of corporate headquarters, regional distribution centers, and supply chain technology firms. Savannah is a secondary hub driven by its port operations, attracting logistics and wholesale trade employers. Columbus and Augusta have smaller but active distribution sectors. Roles in analytics, IT systems, and operations management tend to draw the most H-1B filings across these cities.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale generally applies to positions classified as specialty occupations, meaning the role normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Qualifying roles commonly include supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, data analysts, ERP systems specialists, procurement managers, and operations research analysts. Warehouse supervisors or general logistics coordinators without a degree requirement in a specific discipline typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international job seekers and filters distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in Georgia based on verified employer sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general job postings where sponsorship availability is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers who have filed H-1B petitions in this sector, saving significant research time. Filtering by Georgia and the distribution and wholesale category gives you the most relevant results.
Are there any Georgia-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Georgia does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B employment, so federal rules govern sponsorship entirely. Within the distribution and wholesale industry, employers must demonstrate the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, which is a higher bar for operationally focused roles. Georgia's logistics infrastructure means many employers are large enough to have established immigration programs, but sponsorship decisions ultimately depend on the specific role, the employer's HR capacity, and current business needs.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B distribution & wholesale jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
