Which consumer goods companies in Illinois sponsor E-3 visas?
Several large consumer goods employers based in Illinois have established sponsorship track records. Kraft Heinz, Mondelez International, Abbott, and Beam Suntory are among the multinational companies headquartered or with significant operations in the Chicago area. These companies regularly hire for professional roles that qualify as specialty occupations under E-3 visa requirements, though sponsorship decisions are made on a role-by-role basis.
Which cities in Illinois have the most consumer goods E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of consumer goods E-3 opportunities in Illinois. The city's North Side and suburban corridors, including Deerfield, Northfield, and Oak Brook, host corporate headquarters and regional offices for major food, beverage, and health products companies. Roles in these suburban campuses are typically accessible via Metra commuter rail, making them practical options alongside downtown Chicago positions.
What types of consumer goods roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Illinois?
Roles that qualify as specialty occupations are the foundation of E-3 eligibility. In the consumer goods sector, this commonly includes brand management, financial analysis, supply chain and operations management, data analytics, and product development. Each role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field as a minimum entry requirement. General management or sales roles where any degree suffices are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find consumer goods E-3 sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface Illinois consumer goods roles where employers have indicated E-3 sponsorship. This saves significant time compared to manually screening job postings. Given that Chicago is a major hub for food, beverage, and health products companies, Illinois returns a strong set of results for Australian professionals targeting consumer goods.
Are there any Illinois-specific considerations for consumer goods E-3 sponsorship?
Illinois does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal E-3 rules, but the concentration of consumer goods headquarters in the Chicago metro means many roles involve corporate functions rather than field or retail positions. Corporate roles in finance, marketing, and operations are more consistently structured as specialty occupations. Illinois also has a well-developed professional services ecosystem, including immigration attorneys experienced with consumer goods employers, which can support the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 consumer goods jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
