Position Summary
The Material Planner works on the Planning team under Planning and Material Center, which is responsible for planning and controlling materials used in the Cell Business Unit (BU) located in Indiana, U.S.A.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with headquarters to review and adjust production targets as needed
- Assess inventory level and delivery timeline to support production targets
- Monitor potential material shortages, develop contingency plans, and stay informed about market trends and supply chain dynamics
- Collaborate with key functions, including Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Quality, to ensure seamless manufacturing operations
- Manage and maintain MRP data, investigating anomalies in material usage to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within production planning operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with overarching business goals
- Leverage and manage SAP systems for effective control and daily operations
- Support ISO 9001 activities
- Participate in weekly planning and purchasing conference calls
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related fields is required
- 1-3 years of working experience in supply chain, production or material planning within a multinational corporation manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success in delivering strong quantitative results
- Familiar with performing in a fast-moving environment
- Basic knowledge of ERP platforms or SAP preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable
