About the Team
DashMart is part of the New Verticals division with Doordash and we are a local-fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, offering customers fast, reliable, and high quality delivery.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, people-first leader with strong operational acumen and a high degree of flexibility to serve as a Market Support Manager. In this role, you'll be assigned a regional territory and be embedded on-site at various DashMart locations to support high-priority initiatives, stabilize operations, and provide interim leadership as needed. This is a dynamic position ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves to lead teams, and enjoys solving problems on the ground.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
-
Lead On-Site: Travel frequently within a designated geographic area covering multiple states and serve as an on-the-ground leader at newly launched DashMart sites and sites undergoing complex changes in operations or leadership. Lead, coach, and retain high-performing teams of Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, and hourly associates. Set the tone for culture, safety, and performance during every assignment. Assignment duration will be dependent on the unique circumstances of the site.
-
Stabilize and Scale: Step in during leadership transitions, new site launches, or operational challenges. Implement standard operating procedures, troubleshoot operational issues, and quickly bring teams up to performance benchmarks.
-
Own Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day site operations while deployed, ensuring sites run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Monitor P&L performance, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and implement corrective action plans.
-
Support Growth and Change: Partner with regional and central teams to support growth initiatives, regional training programs, special projects, market expansion efforts, and share insights on key learnings from coverage assignments.
-
Drive Process Improvements: Use data and insights to design and execute improvements to workflows, team structures, and fulfillment practices.
We're excited about you because…
-
You are mobile and flexible – ready to travel extensively (by planes, trains, and/or car) and stay on-site in varying locations for extended periods based on business needs. In this position, you will be expected to be on site nearly 100% of your 5 work days per week (days of week are flexible per needs of the site).
-
You're an experienced leader, having managed diverse hourly and salaried teams of 15+ employees in fast-paced, high-growth environments, and have a proven track record of building a strong site culture and mastery in site operations.
-
You think from first principles and approach challenges with curiosity and creativity—not just what's been done before.
-
You thrive in ambiguous and dynamic environments, especially when working independently to drive impact.
-
You are data-driven, with strong analytical skills and experience using Excel or similar tools to drive decisions.
-
You take ownership—treating every site you support like it's your own, whether you're there for a week or a quarter.
-
You bring 3+ years of experience in Leadership, Operations, Consulting, Logistics, Strategy, or a related field.
Bonus Points:
- Have launched new business units or scaled operations from zero to one.
- Bring warehousing, logistics, or fulfillment center experience.
- Are skilled in change management and team building across diverse environments.

Which e-commerce companies in Michigan sponsor E-3 visas?
Several Michigan-based companies with significant digital commerce operations have sponsored E-3 visas, including Rocket Companies, which operates large technology and digital product teams in Detroit. StockX, the Detroit-based online marketplace, has also hired internationally for engineering and product roles. Beyond these anchors, Ann Arbor's growing tech community includes e-commerce software vendors and digital agencies that have sponsored international workers through E-3 and similar visa categories.
Which cities in Michigan have the most e-commerce E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and Ann Arbor account for the majority of e-commerce E-3 sponsorship activity in Michigan. Detroit hosts the headquarters of major digital commerce platforms like StockX and Rocket Companies' digital arms, while Ann Arbor attracts e-commerce technology firms connected to the University of Michigan ecosystem. Grand Rapids has a smaller but emerging base of direct-to-consumer brands, particularly in retail and consumer goods, that increasingly hire for digital commerce roles.
What types of e-commerce roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Michigan?
E-3 sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In e-commerce, roles that consistently meet this standard include software engineers, data analysts, UX designers, digital marketing managers, and product managers. Generalist roles or positions where any degree field is accepted are less likely to qualify. Roles tied to a specific technical discipline, such as machine learning for recommendation engines or analytics for conversion optimization, present the strongest cases.
How do I find e-commerce E-3 sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for this search, allowing you to filter for E-3 sponsorship jobs by industry and state so you can browse e-commerce roles in Michigan without sifting through listings that don't offer visa sponsorship. Because E-3 sponsorship requires the employer to file a Labor Condition Application, focusing on Michigan companies with a documented history of international hiring, which Migrate Mate surfaces, is a practical starting point for Australian professionals.
Are there any Michigan-specific considerations for e-commerce E-3 sponsorship?
Michigan's e-commerce sector is closely tied to its automotive and retail heritage, meaning many digital commerce roles involve supply chain technology, inventory platforms, or direct-to-consumer retail rather than pure SaaS. This industry context matters for E-3 eligibility because the job duties and degree requirement must align. Australian professionals should confirm that their specific role description clearly requires a degree in a relevant field, since Michigan e-commerce employers often blend technical and operational responsibilities in ways that can complicate the specialty occupation assessment.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 e-commerce jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
