Which healthcare companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in Nebraska?
Nebraska Medicine, CHI Health, Bryan Health, and Children's Nebraska are among the larger health systems in the state with histories of hiring students in CPT-eligible roles. University-affiliated employers, including those connected to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, are particularly active because their academic partnerships align with the curricular requirement that CPT programs must satisfy.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most healthcare F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the largest share of healthcare CPT opportunities in Nebraska, anchored by the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus and the health systems clustered around it. Lincoln is the second-largest market, supported by Bryan Health and University of Nebraska-affiliated programs. Smaller cities like Kearney and Grand Island have regional hospital presence but notably fewer CPT-structured roles.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship in Nebraska?
Roles that align directly with an enrolled academic program are eligible for CPT. In Nebraska's healthcare sector, that commonly includes health informatics analyst positions, public health research assistantships, clinical data coordination, healthcare administration internships, and bioinformatics roles tied to UNMC graduate programs. Roles requiring state clinical licensure, such as direct patient care positions, generally cannot be structured as CPT placements.
How do I find healthcare F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find healthcare roles in Nebraska that are structured for F-1 CPT sponsorship. You can filter by visa type and industry to surface relevant positions at Nebraska health systems and university-affiliated employers. It is also worth coordinating with your DSO, since CPT authorization requires your program to formally endorse the role as curricular before you begin work.
Are there any Nebraska-specific considerations for F-1 CPT in healthcare?
Nebraska's healthcare hiring is heavily tied to the University of Nebraska Medical Center ecosystem, meaning many CPT-eligible roles are structured through university partnerships rather than direct employer arrangements. Rural health initiatives across the state occasionally create research and public health positions, but those are less consistently CPT-structured. International students should confirm with their DSO that a specific role meets the curricular requirement before accepting any offer.
