Which healthcare companies sponsor H-1B visas in Nevada?
Nevada's largest healthcare H-1B visa sponsors include University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, Renown Health, Valley Health System, Dignity Health (now part of CommonSpirit Health), and Desert Springs Hospital. Academic medical centers and large hospital networks file the most H-1B petitions, as they have dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to manage sponsorship. Smaller private practices and outpatient clinics sponsor far less frequently.
Which cities in Nevada have the most healthcare H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas and its surrounding metro areas, including Henderson and North Las Vegas, account for the large majority of healthcare H-1B roles in Nevada, driven by the region's dense hospital network and rapidly growing population. Reno is the second most active market, with Renown Health and several regional medical centers consistently hiring internationally. Rural Nevada has very limited H-1B sponsorship activity in healthcare.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Nevada?
Roles that regularly qualify include physicians and surgeons, registered nurses with specialized credentials (though standard RN roles face more scrutiny under the specialty occupation standard), physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, medical laboratory scientists, radiologists, and health informatics specialists. The role must require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field as a standard entry requirement to meet the H-1B specialty occupation definition.
How do I find healthcare H-1B sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface healthcare H-1B sponsorship jobs in Nevada directly, without sorting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. Migrate Mate's job board is updated regularly and focuses exclusively on roles where sponsorship is a realistic option, which saves significant time compared to unfiltered general searches.
Are there any Nevada-specific considerations for healthcare H-1B sponsorship?
Nevada has a shortage of licensed healthcare professionals relative to its population growth, particularly in Southern Nevada, which can motivate hospital systems to pursue H-1B sponsorship more actively than in oversupplied markets. However, Nevada state licensure is still required for clinical roles regardless of H-1B approval, and obtaining a Nevada medical or nursing license involves its own timeline, fees, and credential verification process that runs separately from the USCIS petition.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B healthcare jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
