INTRODUCTION
The Process Engineer Intern is expected to support the director of process engineering to manage and lead process engineers to support day to day production, to ensure and improve compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. He and she is also expected to help drive the progress of all development projects, implement new technologies, and maintain the infrastructure to ensure availability. He or she is also expected to provide leadership, training, and coaching to production operators.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain close communication with production and continually monitor processes for stable production, in terms of quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide leadership and technical support to engineers to drive the progress on all optimization and development projects as needed.
- Plan and execute new technology/process implementation and new tools qualification.
- Communicate and update progress and challenges of production and development projects in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to other production sites of RDA.
- Train operators, create work instruction, and enforce all company safety requirements.
- Ability to wear/work with common forms of rubber and plastic use for PPE.
- Work extended hours based on company needs and be available to answer after hour emergency calls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
