The Regional IT Governance Analyst supports and advances IT governance across North American regional offices, ensuring process improvements, standardization, reporting, and risk minimization in compliance with company standards. This role is pivotal in developing documentation, extending governance practices, and leading risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams and maintains governance documents, policies, and guidelines, contributing to the continuous improvement of the enterprise IT governance model.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Collaborate with regional IT leadership to build strategic roadmaps, execute strategic plans, ensuring alignment amongst company-wide objectives, business strategies, and IT strategies.
- Validate strategic alignment regularly and course-correct as needed.
- Work with IT leadership to translate business needs into actionable technology solutions.
Operational Excellence
- Collaborate on the development of and maintain standardized operational frameworks for consistent execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Capture metrics and KPIs to track performance and drive continuous improvement, including quarterly reviews and reporting to senior executives.
- Ensure the optimization of resources, scaling existing IT systems and solutions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline technical workflows, creating operational efficiencies.
- Ensure agility and quick adoption of new technology and operational frameworks that can respond to business needs and changes immediately.
Project Management
- Standardize project management methodologies and establish consistent cadences for updates, risk assessments, and escalation protocols.
Regulatory & Compliance
- For the locations being supported, obtain and disseminate the latest information on applicable laws and regulations regarding information and data.
- Establish necessary internal policies and provide education to ensure legal compliance and corporate ethics.
- Support internal audits by preparing evidence, responding to findings, and remediating gaps.
- Collaborate on the development of practical governance systems balancing operational efficiency with necessary oversight and maintain.
- Implement frameworks for continuous improvement, promoting innovation and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with global and regional IT governance regulations, including reporting and documentation requirements.
Risk Management
- Oversee risk assessments and security reviews of new and existing technologies for regulatory adherence.
- Create and execute a reoccurring risk assessment process of existing technologies.
- Assess and manage information security risks, ensuring compliance with minimum group-wide standards.
- Respond promptly to requests for investigation or evaluation from the Global IT Head or Governance Office.
Reporting
- Facilitate regular reporting on IT management areas, including projects and compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership and finance to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports that include latest project status, project forecasts, investments and expenses, variance assessments, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate on the development of frameworks to relay IT operations status, impacts, and requirements to business stakeholders and implement.
- Create JIRA dashboards and reporting tools to translate technical progress into business impact.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for executive meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technology organizations
- Advanced certification in operational excellence, project management, change management, compliance and/or process management a plus. (COBIT, PROSCI, PMP, CSM)
- Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative work environment.
- Experience in achieving operational discipline and excellence.
