Which e-commerce companies sponsor H-1B visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey hosts e-commerce operations from companies like Wayfair, Bed Bath and Beyond (prior to restructuring), and numerous Amazon fulfillment and tech subsidiaries. Retailers with large digital commerce divisions headquartered in the state, including those in the consumer goods and wholesale sectors, also file H-1B visa petitions regularly. DOL LCA disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify which specific employers have filed for e-commerce roles.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most e-commerce H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City lead in volume, partly due to their proximity to New York City and strong transit connections that attract tech-forward e-commerce employers. Edison and Parsippany are notable for logistics technology and back-office operations tied to online retail. Princeton and Bridgewater also see activity from mid-size e-commerce platforms and digital commerce consultancies with H-1B sponsorship histories.
What types of e-commerce roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards are the ones most commonly sponsored in e-commerce. These include software engineers building storefront and checkout infrastructure, data scientists working on recommendation engines or inventory forecasting, UX and product managers with specialized degrees, and digital marketing analysts in roles requiring quantitative or technical bachelor's degrees. General warehouse or customer service positions do not qualify.
How do I find e-commerce H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type and industry, making it straightforward to search for H-1B-sponsored e-commerce roles in New Jersey without sifting through irrelevant postings. The platform aggregates listings from employers who have demonstrated H-1B sponsorship activity, so you can focus your applications on companies already familiar with the process rather than spending time on employers unlikely to sponsor.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in e-commerce?
New Jersey follows federal H-1B rules, but the state's high cost of living affects prevailing wage determinations, which employers must meet or exceed when filing a Labor Condition Application. E-commerce employers in New Jersey often compete with New York City firms for the same talent pool, which can work in your favor since companies are motivated to secure candidates quickly. State-level employment law also requires employers to maintain LCA postings at the New Jersey worksite.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B e-commerce jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
