Which food and beverage companies sponsor H-1B visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey has a notable concentration of food and beverage companies with H-1B visa sponsorship histories. Campbell Soup Company in Camden, Goya Foods in Secaucus, Ferrero North America in Somerset, and Wakefern Food Corporation in Keasbey have all appeared in DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data. Multinational manufacturers with New Jersey operations, including Kraft Heinz and McCormick, have also filed H-1B petitions for specialty roles in the state.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most food and beverage H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Parsippany, Camden, Secaucus, and Somerset account for a significant share of food and beverage H-1B activity in New Jersey, largely due to corporate headquarters and regional offices located there. The Edison and Princeton corridor also generates sponsorship opportunities, particularly for roles tied to research, quality systems, and regulatory functions at mid-size and large manufacturers with facilities along the I-95 and Route 1 corridors.
What types of food and beverage roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in food and beverage generally applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In this industry, that commonly includes food scientists, quality assurance engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, supply chain analysts, and R&D chemists. General production, warehouse, or supervisory roles that do not require a degree in a specific discipline typically do not meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard.
How do I find food and beverage H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking H-1B sponsorship and lets you filter by industry, visa type, and state, making it straightforward to browse food and beverage H-1B roles in New Jersey. Because sponsorship intent is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces employers with verified H-1B filing histories saves significant time compared to searching general job boards.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in New Jersey's food and beverage sector?
New Jersey's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia means many food and beverage employers operate across multiple states, so a job posting may list a New Jersey address while the actual work site differs. Under H-1B rules, the Labor Condition Application must cover the actual work location, so candidates should confirm the primary work site before applying. New Jersey also has no state-level visa sponsorship incentive programs, so sponsorship terms are determined entirely by the individual employer.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B food & beverage jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
