- Execute end-to-end event logistics for events, including major university traditions such as Mercy Week, Critical Concerns Week, and Christmas Tree Lighting - contract negotiation, travel and stipend reimbursements, venue coordination, and catering.
- Organize Mission orientation and formation programming for faculty, staff, and students, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere and that all materials and presentations align with GCU’s Mercy/Catholic identity.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel for departmental staff and student groups, managing all documentation, compliance, and expense reporting.
- Manage logistics for liturgies, including the scheduling of liturgies and priest presiders as well as disbursement of stipends for presiders and musicians.
Communication & Marketing
- Manage digital presence by maintaining and updating Mission and Ministry webpages to reflect current programming and resources.
- Oversee marketing, including brochures, flyers, social media and digital announcements, to increase campus engagement with mission-centered activities.
- Maintain death registry of GCU community members and facilitate Notice of Passing announcements.
- Serve as an ambassador for the university’s Catholic/Mercy identity, providing professional, mission-aligned customer service to all stakeholders.
Miscellaneous/secondary responsibilities that are sometimes involved in this job
- Conduct research, compile data, organize materials, and propose ideas in response to requests for information on special projects as assigned.
- Keep up-to-date and knowledgeable on topics relating to the Sisters of Mercy, Church relations and higher education.
