Which distribution & wholesale companies sponsor H-1B visas in New Jersey?
Several large employers in New Jersey's distribution and wholesale sector have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories, including Becton Dickinson, McKesson, and major third-party logistics firms based in the Meadowlands and Port Newark areas. Pharmaceutical and medical supply distributors headquartered in central New Jersey are also frequent sponsors, particularly for supply chain analytics, inventory management, and procurement roles that require specialized degree backgrounds.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most distribution & wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Edison, Newark, and Jersey City concentrate the highest volume of distribution and wholesale H-1B activity in New Jersey. The Port Newark-Elizabeth Marine Terminal area generates significant demand for logistics and trade operations roles. Parsippany and Woodbridge also host regional headquarters and distribution centers for national wholesale and life sciences supply companies, making them secondary hotspots for H-1B filings in this sector.
What types of distribution & wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale are those meeting the specialty occupation standard, meaning the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Common qualifying titles include supply chain analyst, logistics operations manager, procurement specialist, demand planning analyst, and trade compliance officer. General warehouse or driver roles do not meet the specialty occupation threshold and are not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I find distribution & wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Jersey from employers with verified sponsorship histories. This is more targeted than general job searches because the listings are curated for international candidates who need employer-sponsored work authorization, saving significant time screening out roles that won't support H-1B petitions.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in distribution & wholesale?
New Jersey's proximity to major port infrastructure and its concentration of pharmaceutical and life sciences supply chains create consistent H-1B demand in this sector, but sponsorship timelines are still governed by federal USCIS processes regardless of location. New Jersey employers in wholesale distribution often file under the regular H-1B cap, so the annual lottery applies. Companies with cap-exempt status, such as those affiliated with nonprofit research institutions, are less common in pure distribution and wholesale.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B distribution & wholesale jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
