Which food and beverage companies in Colorado sponsor H-1B visas?
Colorado has several notable food and beverage employers with H-1B visa sponsorship history. Molson Coors Beverage Company, headquartered in Denver, has filed H-1B petitions for technical and corporate roles. Leprino Foods, a major dairy and cheese manufacturer based in Denver, sponsors specialized positions. Larger restaurant chains with Colorado corporate offices, including Chipotle, also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for sponsored roles.
Which cities in Colorado have the most food and beverage H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Denver is the primary hub, home to corporate headquarters and regional offices for major food and beverage companies. Boulder has a concentration of natural and organic food brands, including Boulder-based startups and mid-sized manufacturers. Fort Collins, known for its craft brewing industry, offers opportunities with breweries and food science companies. Colorado Springs also has food manufacturing facilities that occasionally sponsor specialized technical positions.
What types of food and beverage roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Colorado?
H-1B sponsorship in food and beverage generally requires roles that qualify as specialty occupations, meaning positions that normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In Colorado, that commonly includes food scientists, research and development chemists, quality assurance engineers, supply chain analysts, and corporate functions like finance, marketing, and data analytics at headquartered companies. Production or general operations roles rarely meet the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find food and beverage H-1B sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters food and beverage H-1B sponsorship jobs in Colorado by employer sponsorship history, role type, and location. Rather than manually reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosures to identify which Colorado companies have sponsored in the past, Migrate Mate surfaces that data alongside active job listings, saving significant research time for candidates targeting this specific state and industry.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in the food and beverage industry?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives H-1B candidates useful visibility into whether a posted role meets prevailing wage requirements before applying. Colorado's strong craft beverage manufacturing base also means some sponsoring employers are mid-sized companies rather than large multinationals, so it is worth verifying a company's prior sponsorship history before investing time in an application.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B food & beverage jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
