As a CS Wind America’s Facility Engineer for specific engineering specialty (mechanical, electrical, structural, or measurement & verification). Provides technical guidance and support to all areas of the business. Serves as a representative of CS Wind within engineering specialty to external groups including industry associations, regulatory agencies, committees, focus groups, and academic institutions to provide interpretation, education, guidance, considerations and insight on specific technical aspects of wind tower manufacturing.
Responsibilities:

Ability to understand, interpret and articulate how technological advances, complex issues and/or changes made to CS Wind will impact customer delivery, business plans and strategies.

Support CS Wind at all levels with technical support matters relative to area of expertise including responding to complex customer and vendor inquiries, troubleshooting efforts/projects and root-cause analysis.

Make recommendations for, obtains approval for, and implements changes to existing documentation and testing methods.
-
Able to read and interpret drawings and schematics related to all areas of the facility, equipment and customer products.

Stay abreast of laws and regulations related to environmental, wind and general energy industries; interpret impact of laws and regulations; make recommendations regarding changes of all facets of internal engineering systems, documentation, and process to ensure adherence to such.

Perform technical modeling and testing toward root-cause determination. Make recommendations and presentations regarding test results.

Support expansion projects from planning to completion. Able to draft requirement specifications for equipment suppliers & vendors. Emphasis on TPM as a focus to support life-cycle requirements on key machines. Update and write new procedures if needed.

Serving as a Technical member for CS Wind America to external institutions through establishing and maintaining relationships. Make active contribution to/with engineering and/or wind academic programs or institutions & participate in local/regional committees, adjunct faculty membership, etc. Publish technical pieces in industry and association journals.

Complete customer and third-party inquiries whether in RFP, direct interaction, electronic, or other format. Serve as SME in such matters to ensure relevant parties understand facility capabilities and compliance solutions.

Support all levels of CS Wind engineers within areas of specialty and leadership team with professional & technical feedback on key decision-making matters.

Track & monitor renewable energy aspects of the facility. Research and recommend latest technologies to support reduction of carbon footprint.

Travels 10 - 20%.

Work with City, State and Federal regulatory agencies to support facility initiatives.

Track operating systems, control systems, utilities and generate reports regularly.

Work with suppliers/vendors/IT to ensure systems are working correctly.

Work with contractors and suppliers to support aspects of CS Wind’s business objectives.
Education, Training, and Skills Required:

Bachelors’ Science degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics.

Understanding of local codes and requirements in Colorado (Pueblo area preferred).

Minimum of 2 years’ experience with energy delivery systems or electrical power systems; preferably in the wind industry.

2 years’ experience with group and/or project management.

Experience with SAP or similar ERP workflow system preferred.

Proficient in MS Office Suite, ACAD and Data Base & Analysis programs (Power Bi, R, etc.).

Reading and interpreting blue prints and drawings (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, machinery and equipment, etc.).

2 years’ experience with business case development for CAPEX investments.

Knowledge in Process Engineering preferred (analyze and define production standards).

Knowledge of IT systems and networks.
