Which media and entertainment companies sponsor H-1B visas in Colorado?
Colorado's H-1B visa media sponsors include broadcast groups such as Scripps and Nexstar-affiliated stations in Denver, along with digital media companies and post-production studios that have grown alongside Colorado's film incentive program. Larger national employers with Colorado offices, including streaming and advertising technology firms headquartered in Denver, appear regularly in DOL Labor Condition Application filings for media and entertainment occupations.
Which cities in Colorado have the most media and entertainment H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the majority of Colorado's media and entertainment H-1B filings, driven by its concentration of broadcast affiliates, advertising agencies, and digital media companies. Boulder adds a secondary cluster focused on technology-adjacent media roles, including UX for streaming platforms and content analytics. Colorado Springs and Fort Collins contribute smaller volumes, primarily in broadcast engineering and audiovisual production.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in media and entertainment generally covers roles that require a specialized bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Qualifying positions commonly include software engineers building streaming or content delivery systems, broadcast engineers, data analysts for audience measurement, digital marketing specialists, and UX designers. Creative roles such as general video production or on-air talent typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find media and entertainment H-1B sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and state, making it straightforward to search for media and entertainment H-1B sponsorship opportunities in Colorado. You can browse roles by occupation and confirm employer H-1B filing history through DOL Labor Condition Application data surfaced directly on the platform, helping you focus on Colorado employers that have sponsored the H-1B for comparable media and entertainment positions.
Are there Colorado-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in media and entertainment?
Colorado's Incentive Film, Television, and Media Production program has attracted production companies to the state, which can increase hiring activity but does not alter federal H-1B requirements. Employers must still file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL and petition USCIS before a worker begins employment. Colorado has no state-level visa processing, so all sponsorship timelines follow standard federal procedures, including the annual H-1B cap and premium processing options.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B media & entertainment jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
