Which media and entertainment companies sponsor H-1B visas in Arizona?
Arizona's H-1B visa sponsors in media and entertainment include broadcast groups such as Gray Television and Univision's Phoenix-area stations, live entertainment operators tied to major sports franchises, and digital content companies based in the Phoenix metro. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size and role type. Reviewing OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure data by employer name and occupation code gives the most accurate picture of which companies actively file.
Which cities in Arizona have the most media and entertainment H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the vast majority of media and entertainment H-1B filings in Arizona, driven by its concentration of broadcast stations, sports entertainment venues, and production facilities. Tucson holds a secondary cluster, particularly in Spanish-language media serving the U.S.-Mexico border region. Smaller markets like Scottsdale and Tempe contribute through digital media and marketing agencies adjacent to the broader entertainment sector.
How do I find media and entertainment H-1B sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters media and entertainment job listings specifically by visa sponsorship history, so you can identify Arizona employers who have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for roles matching your background. Rather than guessing which companies sponsor, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified DOL filing records in broadcasting, production, content, and related media occupations across Phoenix, Tucson, and surrounding areas.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Arizona?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, meeting the USCIS specialty occupation standard. In media and entertainment, this includes broadcast engineers, software developers building streaming or content platforms, digital marketing analysts, graphic designers with specialized technical training, and post-production specialists. On-air talent and general production assistant roles generally do not meet the specialty occupation threshold and are rarely sponsored.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in media and entertainment?
Arizona's media market is heavily shaped by its large Spanish-speaking population, meaning bilingual professionals in broadcast journalism, content production, and digital media may find stronger demand from Spanish-language networks operating in the Phoenix and Tucson markets. Arizona has no state-level visa or work authorization program, so all H-1B filings follow standard federal USCIS procedures. Employers in live entertainment tied to Arizona's professional sports teams also periodically sponsor H-1B roles in specialized technical and operations functions.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B media & entertainment jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
