Which medical devices companies in Colorado sponsor H-1B visas?
Colorado has a number of established medical device employers with H-1B sponsorship histories. Medtronic maintains a significant presence in the state, and companies like Becton Dickinson, DJO Global, and Envision Healthcare have filed H-1B petitions for Colorado-based roles. Smaller orthopaedic and surgical device firms in the Denver and Boulder areas also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as recurring sponsors.
Which cities in Colorado have the most medical devices H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its surrounding metro area account for the largest share of medical devices H-1B sponsorship activity in Colorado. Boulder has a strong concentration of biomedical and health technology companies that sponsor engineers and scientists. Colorado Springs also has medical device manufacturing operations. Broomfield and Westminster, sitting between Denver and Boulder, host several device company offices and R&D facilities.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Colorado?
H-1B sponsorship in the medical devices sector generally applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical or scientific field. In Colorado, this commonly includes roles in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, software development for embedded medical systems, and clinical research. Positions in manufacturing operations or general sales typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find medical devices H-1B sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface medical devices roles in Colorado where employers have a documented history of H-1B sponsorship. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company does not sponsor. Migrate Mate pulls from verified sponsorship data so you can focus your applications on employers who have actually filed H-1B petitions.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in medical devices?
Colorado's medical device sector is heavily influenced by its orthopedic and surgical device cluster, which tends to hire engineers and regulatory specialists with domain-specific credentials. The state does not impose additional requirements on top of federal H-1B rules, but employers in regulated device categories often require familiarity with FDA quality system regulations, which can affect how job requirements are written and whether a given role meets the specialty occupation threshold during USCIS review.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B medical devices jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
