INTRODUCTION
Position Overview
Davey Tree is a leader in arboricultural and landscape services throughout the US and Canada. Our Corporate Office is seeking qualified candidates for a Junior Buyer position.
The Junior Buyer performs a variety of administrative, technical, and organizational tasks to support Field Operations.
This position will be onsite at the corporate office in Kent Monday-Friday.
JOB DUTIES
The Junior Buyer position includes the following duties, functions, and responsibilities:
- Send requests for quotes and negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Enter purchase order information.
- Working in SAP.
- Maintain data integrity.
- Coordinate with distributors and suppliers.
- Expedite orders and communicate with top management.
- Accurately manage and transform data into Excel spreadsheets.
- Create graphs, diagrams, forms, and other documents.
- Create and track invoices and payments.
- Respond to email and telephone inquiries.
- Documentation of processes.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
- Perform all duties as required.
- Report timely and accurately to Manager.
- Work as assistant to Purchasing Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Previous experience in SAP.
- Aptitude for learning new software and systems quickly.
- 1-2 years of previous experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
