Position: Grant Administrator
Location: Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, OH (on site)
We are seeking a Grant Administrator to lead and support the full grant lifecycle — from opportunity identification and application development to compliance, reporting, and closeout. With guidance from leadership, this role works closely with marketing staff, engineers, and planners, as well as external partners, to develop competitive, compliant, and high-quality submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and track federal, state, and local grant opportunities aligned with infrastructure, planning, and community development projects
- Prepare, write, and edit grant applications, letters of interest, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to gather technical information and develop compelling, compliant submissions
- Facilitate kickoff and strategy meetings to define grant approach, key messaging, and required components
- Manage multiple grant pursuits simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met
- Maintain grant calendars, tracking systems, and documentation for all active and upcoming opportunities
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including application guidelines, reporting standards, and funding conditions
- Support post-award grant administration, including reporting, documentation, and reimbursement tracking
- Develop and maintain templates, tools, and best practices to improve grant processes and efficiency
- Communicate grant opportunities and updates across Ohio design centers and support internal awareness
- Assist in preparing presentations, summaries, and outreach materials related to grant funding
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
- Grant writing experience preferred
- Experience with proposal development, technical writing, or marketing coordination is a plus
- Familiarity with grant compliance, reporting, or budgeting processes is a plus
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and compliant content
- Superior time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and evaluate requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Bluebeam preferred
- Ability to learn and adapt to grant tracking systems, proposal tools, and emerging technologies
