Which investment management companies sponsor E-3 visas in Oklahoma?
BOK Financial and its subsidiary BOKF are among Oklahoma's largest asset managers and have a history of sponsoring skilled foreign professionals. Tulsa-based registered investment advisers and Oklahoma City wealth management firms have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty roles. Checking OFLC disclosure data by employer name gives the most current picture of which firms have active sponsorship history in the state.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the overwhelming majority of investment management roles in the state. Oklahoma City hosts the headquarters of several large banks and institutional asset managers, while Tulsa's financial district includes independent wealth advisory firms and trust companies. Smaller markets like Norman and Edmond occasionally post roles, but most E-3-eligible positions are concentrated in these two metro areas.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field are the threshold for E-3 specialty occupation status. In investment management, this typically covers portfolio analysts, research associates, quantitative analysts, financial planners, and compliance officers. General relationship management or sales roles that accept any business degree tend to face more scrutiny unless the employer can document a specific educational requirement tied to the position.
How do I find investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and industry, so you can search specifically for investment management roles with E-3 sponsorship history in Oklahoma. This lets you focus on employers who have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for E-3 workers rather than cold-applying to firms that may be unfamiliar with the visa category. Narrowing by Oklahoma and the investment management sector surfaces the most relevant opportunities.
Are there any state-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in Oklahoma's investment management sector?
Oklahoma does not impose additional state-level licensing requirements unique to E-3 holders, but investment professionals in advisory or discretionary roles often need FINRA licensing, which requires passing exams after arrival rather than before. Employers in Oklahoma's energy-adjacent asset management sector sometimes seek candidates with sector-specific analytical backgrounds, which can strengthen the specialty occupation case if the role involves analyzing energy commodity portfolios or natural resource funds.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 investment management jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
