Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor Green Card visas in Tennessee?
Several large employers in Tennessee's distribution and wholesale sector have established records of Green Card sponsorship. FedEx, headquartered in Memphis, regularly sponsors supply chain and logistics professionals. Amazon operates major fulfillment centers across the state. Sysco and McLane Company sponsor roles in food and beverage distribution. Dollar General, based in Goodlettsville, has sponsored corporate and operations staff through employment-based Green Card categories.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Memphis leads the state, driven by FedEx's global headquarters and one of the busiest freight hubs in North America. Nashville follows, with a growing concentration of wholesale trade companies and regional distribution centers. Chattanooga benefits from its position along major interstate corridors and hosts several large logistics and manufacturing-adjacent distribution operations. Knoxville also has a smaller but active distribution employment base.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Tennessee?
Roles most commonly sponsored include supply chain analysts, logistics operations managers, procurement specialists, inventory planning managers, and distribution center operations leads. These positions typically require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field and qualify under EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. Senior and specialized roles, particularly those requiring documented expertise, are more frequently sponsored than entry-level warehouse positions.
How do I find distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for this search. You can filter by Tennessee, the distribution and wholesale industry, and Green Card sponsorship to see verified employer listings in one place. This saves significant time compared to manually researching which companies have sponsored workers in the past. Migrate Mate aggregates sponsorship-relevant job postings so you can focus on roles where employer support for permanent residency is already part of the hiring pattern.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Tennessee's distribution sector?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which can affect total compensation discussions during hiring but does not change federal Green Card sponsorship requirements. Employers in Tennessee's distribution sector who sponsor Green Cards must still comply with PERM labor market testing through the Department of Labor, regardless of state. The high volume of distribution activity in the state means PERM applications for logistics and supply chain roles are relatively common, though approval timelines depend on federal processing queues and individual case factors.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card distribution & wholesale jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
