Which media & entertainment companies sponsor visas in Tennessee?
Nashville-based music companies like Big Machine Label Group, Warner Music Nashville, and Universal Music Group Nashville frequently sponsor H-1B visa and O-1 visas for international talent. Entertainment technology companies such as Emma and digital media firms in Memphis also sponsor visas for specialized technical roles in content management and streaming platforms.
How to find media & entertainment visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for Tennessee media and entertainment roles with visa sponsorship. Focus on Nashville's music district and Memphis's entertainment corridor, where most sponsoring employers are concentrated. Many positions require specialized skills in audio engineering, digital content creation, or music production technology.
Which visa types are most common for media & entertainment roles in Tennessee?
O-1 visas are popular for artists, musicians, and creative professionals with extraordinary ability in Tennessee's music scene. H-1B visas are common for technical roles in audio engineering, digital media production, and entertainment technology. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican professionals in management and technical positions.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most media & entertainment sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads with the highest concentration of sponsoring employers, particularly in music production, recording studios, and entertainment management companies. Memphis follows with opportunities in blues and soul music production, plus emerging digital media companies. Knoxville offers limited opportunities, mainly in broadcasting and university-affiliated media programs.
What are the prevailing wage considerations for media & entertainment roles in Tennessee?
Tennessee's prevailing wages for media roles are generally lower than coastal markets but competitive within the Southeast. Nashville's music industry wages reflect specialized talent demand, while technical roles in audio engineering and digital production command higher prevailing wages due to skill scarcity in the region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored media & entertainment jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
