Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor E-3 visas in Texas?
Several large Texas-based employers have a track record of E-3 sponsorship in technical roles, including Dell Technologies, AT&T, Texas Instruments, and ExxonMobil's digital and data science teams. Austin in particular has attracted AI-focused companies such as Apple's Austin campus and a range of venture-backed AI startups. Sponsorship practices vary by company and role, so researching individual employers' hiring patterns is worthwhile.
Which cities in Texas have the most artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads Texas for AI hiring, driven by a dense concentration of tech companies, university research partnerships with UT Austin, and strong startup activity. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with enterprise technology employers and a growing number of AI-focused firms. Houston contributes AI roles primarily in energy tech, healthcare AI, and aerospace. San Antonio has a smaller but emerging presence through defense contractors and cybersecurity-adjacent AI work.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In AI, this typically covers machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI research scientist, natural language processing engineer, and computer vision engineer positions. Roles where the employer requires a degree specifically in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field generally meet the specialty occupation standard. Generalist roles with no specific degree requirement may face more scrutiny.
How do I find artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas from employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to filtering through general job postings where sponsorship availability is unclear. Migrate Mate also provides supporting content on the E-3 process to help you prepare your application.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in artificial intelligence?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change E-3 eligibility requirements. The E-3 Labor Condition Application still requires employers to pay the prevailing wage for the role and location, which is determined by the Department of Labor for Texas metro areas specifically. Austin's high demand for AI talent has pushed prevailing wages upward in recent years. Some Texas employers are newer to E-3 sponsorship and may need guidance on the process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 artificial intelligence jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
