Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor E-3 visas in New York?
New York's AI sponsorship activity is concentrated among large tech firms and financial institutions. IBM, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Bloomberg have all filed E-3 applications for AI-related roles in New York. Beyond big tech, a growing number of AI-focused startups in the Flatiron District and Brooklyn Tech Triangle actively hire international talent and are familiar with E-3 sponsorship requirements for Australian nationals.
Which cities in New York have the most artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the majority of artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship activity in New York, particularly around Midtown, the Flatiron District, and Hudson Yards where tech and finance employers cluster. Brooklyn is a growing secondary hub, especially for AI startups. Buffalo and Albany have smaller but emerging AI sectors, often connected to university research commercialization, though sponsorship opportunities there are considerably less frequent than in New York City.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in artificial intelligence include machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI research scientist, natural language processing engineer, and computer vision specialist. These positions generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field. The degree must align specifically with the job duties, so a role requiring general analytical skills without a field-specific degree requirement may not meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard.
How do I find artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by E-3 visa type, the artificial intelligence industry, and New York as your target state to see roles where employers have demonstrated sponsorship willingness. Because E-3 sponsorship depends on the employer filing a Labor Condition Application, Migrate Mate's data helps you focus on companies with a documented history of sponsoring Australian nationals rather than applying broadly and asking each employer individually.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under the Labor Condition Application are set to reflect the city's cost of living, meaning the Department of Labor wage benchmarks for AI roles in Manhattan are among the highest in the country. Employers are legally required to pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and location. Additionally, New York's competitive AI hiring market means employers are generally more experienced with visa sponsorship processes, which can streamline the LCA and E-3 application workflow.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 artificial intelligence jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
