- Design, architect, and develop full-stack solutions using an experiment-driven, iterative approach.
- Prepare detailed scopes of work and project plans for both proof-of-concept prototypes and full production deployments.
- Work hands-on with customers' technical teams as a technical expert and trusted advisor, coding side-by-side to drive projects to completion on their infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product, Research and Applied teams to ensure seamless customer experiences, project success and actionable product feedback.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases, codifying best practices and sharing insights gained from customer engagements to scale the Forward Deployed Engineering function.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:
- 7+ years of professional full stack engineering experience (excluding internships) in relevant roles at tech and product-driven companies - customer-facing experience is highly desirable.
- Former founder, or early engineer at a startup who has built a product from scratch is a plus.
- Experience with relational databases like Postgres/MySQL.
- Have a bias for action and willingness to work iteratively with your customers to deliver the right solution that solves their problem.
COMPENSATION
- $153K – $325K + Offers Equity

Which artificial intelligence companies in Washington sponsor E-3 visas?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Google have significant AI research and engineering operations in the Seattle area and have sponsored E-3 visas for Australian nationals in technical roles. Beyond those established names, companies like AI2 (Allen Institute for AI), Snowflake, and a range of AI-focused startups headquartered in Seattle and Bellevue have also pursued E-3 sponsorship for qualified candidates.
Which cities in Washington have the most artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the largest share of AI E-3 sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of major tech employers and AI research institutions. Bellevue and Redmond on the Eastside are also significant, largely due to Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond. Smaller clusters exist in Kirkland and Bothell, particularly in cloud infrastructure and machine learning engineering.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Washington?
Roles that routinely qualify include machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI research scientist, NLP engineer, and computer vision engineer. Each requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science, statistics, or electrical engineering. Washington employers filing for E-3 sponsorship must demonstrate the position meets the specialty occupation standard, meaning a specific degree is a minimum requirement for the role.
How do I find artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by E-3 visa type, the artificial intelligence industry, and Washington state to see verified sponsorship-eligible roles from employers who have demonstrated willingness to hire internationally. Because E-3 sponsorship depends on the employer's capacity and the role meeting specialty occupation criteria, Migrate Mate helps narrow your search to positions where sponsorship is a realistic part of the conversation.
Are there any Washington-specific or AI-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship?
Washington has no state income tax, which is worth noting as a financial consideration when evaluating offers, though it does not affect the E-3 process itself. On the AI side, roles at research-oriented organizations like the Allen Institute for AI may involve different employment structures than standard corporate roles, which can affect how the E-3 application is prepared. Australian nationals should confirm their prospective employer has experience with E-3 sponsorship before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 artificial intelligence jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
