Search Hospitality Jobs in TexasHospitality H-1B Sponsorship Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which hospitality companies sponsor H-1B visas in Texas?
Large hotel management companies and hospitality groups with a significant Texas presence are the most consistent H-1B visa sponsors in this industry. Marriott International, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG have filed H-1B petitions for Texas-based roles. Convention center operators, resort groups in the Hill Country, and large food service management companies also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsoring employers.
Which cities in Texas have the most hospitality H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas lead in volume, driven by their large convention hotel markets and corporate travel demand. San Antonio is notable for its River Walk hospitality corridor and significant tourism infrastructure, including the Henry B. González Convention Center. Austin has grown steadily as a destination market. All four cities have active hotel pipelines that support specialized, degree-requiring roles eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in hospitality applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles that commonly meet this standard include revenue management analysts, hotel asset managers, food and beverage directors with hospitality management degrees, marketing and sales managers, and finance roles within hotel operations. Front-of-house and line-level service positions generally do not meet the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find hospitality H-1B sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Texas hospitality roles where employers have a documented history of H-1B sponsorship. This removes the guesswork of approaching companies that don't sponsor. Focus your applications on hotel groups and management companies with properties in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin, where sponsorship activity is highest.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in hospitality?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change federal H-1B prevailing wage requirements. Employers must still meet Department of Labor wage standards for the specific metropolitan area where the role is located, meaning Houston, Dallas, and Austin roles carry different prevailing wage benchmarks. Texas's year-round tourism season and major convention calendar also mean hospitality hiring is less seasonal than in some other states.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B hospitality jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
