Wholesale Account Executive Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a wholesale account executive in New Jersey?
Most wholesale account executives in New Jersey enter the role through a combination of a bachelor's degree in business or a related field and two to four years of outside or inside sales experience, often in distribution, consumer goods, or industrial supply. New Jersey does not require a state-issued license for the role itself, but employers in regulated sectors like pharmaceuticals or alcohol distribution may require product-specific compliance training before client-facing work begins.
Which companies hire wholesale account executives in New Jersey?
Employers hiring wholesale account executives in New Jersey right now include JPMorganChase, Demant, and Kering, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Jersey's dense concentration of pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and industrial distribution companies means hiring tends to stay active even outside peak recruiting seasons.
Which New Jersey cities have the most wholesale account executive jobs?
Jersey City, New Jersey, and Somerset post the most wholesale account executive openings in New Jersey. The Newark and Jersey City corridor benefits from its proximity to major port infrastructure and corporate headquarters, while suburban hubs like Parsippany and Edison attract distribution and consumer goods companies that need territory-based sellers covering the broader Mid-Atlantic region.
Are there remote wholesale account executive jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based roles, since wholesale account executives typically manage in-person client relationships and territory visits. About 80% of wholesale account executive openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those postings tend to focus on inside sales or national account management functions where client contact happens primarily by phone and video.
How can I get hired as a wholesale account executive in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an inside sales representative or sales development role at a New Jersey distributor or consumer goods company, where you build product knowledge and prospecting skills before moving into a full account executive position. Large employers like Sysco's New Jersey operations and regional food and beverage distributors regularly hire associates into structured onboarding programs. A strong showing in retail, customer service, or route sales, combined with a business degree, is often enough to compete for these entry roles.
Where can I find and apply to wholesale account executive jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to wholesale account executive jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search by city or specialty to narrow results to roles that fit your background, then apply directly to the listings that match your experience and availability.
