Tips for Your Account Based Marketing Manager Job Search
Quantify pipeline influence on your resume
ABM hiring managers want to see how your campaigns moved accounts through the pipeline. Replace vague outcome statements with metrics like influenced pipeline value, account engagement lift, or deal acceleration so your impact is immediately legible to revenue-focused teams.
Tailor your portfolio to named account programs
Build a brief case study document showing one or two one-to-one or one-to-few ABM programs you ran. Include the target account criteria, channels used, and business outcome. Interviewers at enterprise companies will ask for this before a second round.
Filter openings by your CRM and MAP stack
ABM roles are rarely tool-agnostic. Before applying, check the job description for Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or Demandbase requirements and prioritize openings where your current stack matches. Mismatched tooling is a fast disqualifier in phone screens.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists account based marketing manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a sales-marketing alignment story
Most ABM interviews include a question about how you built or maintained alignment with a sales team. Have a specific example ready that covers how you agreed on target accounts, shared data, and co-owned the program outcome. Vague answers on this point stall candidacies.
Negotiate using pipeline attribution data
When you reach the offer stage, anchor compensation conversations to documented pipeline contribution rather than years of experience alone. ABM roles are increasingly judged on revenue output, so framing your value in those terms puts the negotiation on your strongest ground.
Account Based Marketing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most account based marketing managers?
The companies hiring the most account based marketing managers right now include Veeva Systems, Glossgenius, and Tulip Interfaces, with the largest share of openings in Massachusetts, New York, and California, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Openings are concentrated heavily at enterprise software, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure companies with named account or enterprise sales motions.
How many account based marketing manager jobs are remote?
About 75% of account based marketing manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on digital campaign execution and cross-functional coordination rather than on-site presence. Demand generation-focused and digital ABM roles tend to offer the highest share of remote flexibility compared to field-marketing-heavy positions.
How do you become an account based marketing manager?
Start by building hands-on experience in B2B demand generation or field marketing, where you learn how accounts move through a sales funnel. Develop proficiency in at least one ABM platform and a CRM. From there, take ownership of a named account program, even at a small scale, document the pipeline impact, and use those results to step into a dedicated ABM manager role.
Can you get hired as an account based marketing manager with little experience?
Yes, if you come from a closely adjacent B2B role such as demand generation coordinator, field marketing associate, or marketing operations analyst. Employers at growth-stage companies will often hire someone without a formal ABM title if you can show you ran a targeted campaign for a defined account list and worked directly with a sales team to move those accounts forward.
What does the account based marketing manager interview process look like?
Expect a phone screen focused on your ABM platform experience and how you define and segment target accounts, followed by a hiring manager interview that digs into a specific program you ran from strategy through results. Many companies include a take-home exercise asking you to outline a sample ABM strategy for a hypothetical account list. A final panel round typically brings in a sales leader or revenue operations stakeholder to assess cross-functional fit.
Where can I find and apply to account based marketing manager jobs?
